So I'm attempting to do concept art based on a idea for a game I have been thinking of.
the idea: This is a semi-simulation war game that has both Real Time Strategy (RTS) and First Person Shooter (FPS) elements in it.
each team has a dedicated commander, who do the RTS part of the game, *he have a view of the whole map with the players on, the commander can give players advice about where the enemy are and how the squads should move, he can also buy stuff like Barracs and other buildings to upgrade, aid and improve players and their gear.
The soldiers play the FPS part, and this behaves like most games like Battlefield, Arma2 and similars. but their objectives are set by the commander. They can choose not to follow the orders. but the rewards lies in following and completing the orders rather than winning in general.
Teams could have 100++ players, and if there's a lack of players, then the game fills in with bots.
Maps will be huge, something like the whole city of GTA IV. there will be the full arsenal of any modern army of the larger nations, of course with fictional weapons as my idea are set in near future. _________________________________
